ABERDEEN – WorkSource Grays Harbor officially opened its new employment center at Grays Harbor College on March 17 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included local dignitaries and Employment Security Department Commissioner Cami Feek.
The location is on the third floor of the Jewell C. Manspeaker Instructional Building (Building 2000) on campus, 1620 Edward P. Smith Dr., Aberdeen. It is in Room 2315.
WorkSource Grays Harbor closed its location in downtown Aberdeen in 2025 and opened several satellite offices in libraries in Grays Harbor and Pacific counties.
Launching this new location and adding services to multiple sites are all part of one effort to better support job seekers and employers. WorkSource hopes to increase customer access and foster economic growth in rural areas.
“Customers can trust that they’re getting consistent, high-quality support at whatever location they visit,” said Employment Security Department Commissioner Cami Feek.
The new employment center will serve employers and job seekers. Services for job seekers include:
- Interview preparation.
- Resume and cover letter support.
- Job connections.
- Unemployment Insurance basics.
- Connecting to training services.
- Workshops.
- Drop-in hours for support.
Employment Security is a major partner in Washington’s One-Stop system, called WorkSource. WorkSource is a partnership of state, local and nonprofit organizations that provide an array of employment and training services to job seekers and employers in Washington.
“This new location reflects our commitment to meeting people where they are,” said William Westmoreland, CEO, Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council. “By partnering with Grays Harbor College, we are placing workforce services in a setting where education, training and employment support come together. Job seekers and employers across Grays Harbor now have stronger access to the resources needed to connect talent with opportunity.”
“We are delighted to welcome WorkSource to campus,” said Dr. Carli Schiffner, president of Grays Harbor College. “A WorkSource presence at the college means students can connect with job-search assistance and career services in a familiar setting. We are excited for this partnership and the support it brings to our students.”
