Grant County is in central Washington. The county has a large lake where it’s largest city, Moses Lake, surrounds it and takes the name.

Payroll employment

  • Nonfarm employment in Grant County was 34,690 in March 2025, an increase of 890 jobs from March 2024 and an increase of 270 jobs from February 2025.
  • Manufacturing increased by 30 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025, however decreased by 210 jobs over the month.
  • Construction decreased by 80 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025, however increased by 100 jobs over the month.
  • Trade transportation and utilities increased by 120 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025 and increased 10 over the month.
  • Professional and business services increased 230 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025 and increased 20 jobs over the month.
  • Leisure and hospitality accommodation and food services increased by 210 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025 and increased 70 jobs over the month.
  • The government sector gained 310 jobs over the year and increased by 180 jobs over the month. Over the year job gains were mostly in state and local government.
