OLYMPIA – The release of some labor market and employment information is temporarily paused due to the federal government shutdown. The publishing of state and national economic data and reports will be delayed until the federal government reopens.
“Due to the shutdown, federal agencies such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Census Bureau and Department of Labor are not reporting on labor market and employment information,” said Chief Labor Economist Anneliese Vance-Sherman. “We will be ready to update and post reports, such as the monthly employment report and county unemployment data, once the government reopens and the federal agencies resume reporting.”
