Employment Security Department Commissioner Cami Feek and Workforce Services Division Director Ismaila Maidadi joined other local leaders April 29 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new WorkSource Everett center location.

Other attendees included Workforce Snohomish CEO Joy Emory, Snohomish County Workforce Development Manager Samantha Paxton and Janice Greene, chair of the Future Workforce Alliance board and president and CEO of the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Pacific.

Feek thanked WorkSource Everett staff and Snohomish County leaders for making the new location possible. The center is located 728 134th St. SW, Suite 102 in Everett.

"This space is just so reflective of the open beautiful way that you all come together to serve communities," Feek said. "You are the heart and soul that really makes this building work. I’m excited to have this new space for you to serve together in this way."

Workforce development is part of Employment Security’s core mission, Maidadi said at the event. The agency manages the Unemployment Insurance and Paid Family & Medical Leave programs. It also is a major partner in Washington’s workforce development system, WorkSource.

Employment Security’s Workforce Services Division includes WorkSource and operations staff and more.

“Today is not just about opening doors – it’s about opening possibilities,” Maidadi said. “We collaborate with businesses, educators and government agencies to ensure WorkSource Everett is always on track to meet the evolving needs of the local workforce.”

Maidadi thanked the local leaders, business partners and workforce development teams who have worked to bring the job center to life in its new location.
