We know that being laid off is painful. We're here to help.
Rapid Response
Before, during and after a layoff, "Rapid Response" coordinators throughout the state can help you and your employer. They share with affected employees information about unemployment benefits, the dislocated worker program, and WorkSource training and reemployment services.
If your employer has not offered this information to you, tell them about Rapid Response. Share this link to Rapid Response information on the Washington Workforce Association website.

How to apply for unemployment benefits
If you lost your job through no fault of your own, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. You can apply for benefits online or by phone.
Retraining programs
If you are unlikely to return to your previous job or have lost your job due to foreign competition, you may be eligible to collect unemployment benefits while you train for a new career.
Training for dislocated workers is customized to each person and must be in an occupation that is in demand in your community or an area to which you are willing to commute or relocate.
