WorkSource services for hiring veterans

WorkSource is a partnership of the Employment Security Department, state agencies, local governments, colleges and nonprofit organizations that helps businesses and job seekers with employment and training.

WorkSource offers staffing services to help you hire qualified veterans. They can help you:

  • Choose veteran applicants who meet your requirements.
  • Host hiring events.
  • Conduct interviews and/or group orientations at WorkSource.

LVERs: Local Veterans Employment Representatives

Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVERs) are veterans who help employers hire other qualified veterans. An LVER can work with you to:

  • Improve your job ads.
  • Post your jobs statewide or nationally.
  • Help assess candidates.
  • Translate military skills to the civilian workplace.
  • Connect with candidates in apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships.
  • Find qualified veterans for your business.
