During the federal government shutdown in October and November of 2025, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) suspended their collection and release of labor market data.
Since reopening, BLS is working to catch up on the delayed data to the best of its ability.
- BLS set the adjusted release dates for September and November employment data.
- October data is canceled. BLS couldn't collect it during the shutdown.
- BLS has not announced December employment data release dates.
