Washington adds 68,000 jobs in 2015
OLYMPIA –Washington added 68,000 new jobs from December 2014 to December 2015 on a not seasonally adjusted basis. The private sector grew by 58,600 jobs and the public sector added 9,400, according to the December Monthly Employment Report.

OLYMPIA – In 2016, the Employment Security Department will release monthly employment data and unemployment rates at 10 a.m. on the dates listed below. Employment Security will hold a monthly news teleconference for the statewide data at 11 a.m. on those dates and we will send conference call information before each call.

Employment Security Commissioner to lead national workforce organization
OLYMPIA – The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) Board of Directors announced today that President-Elect Dale Peinecke, Washington State Employment Security Department Commissioner, will assume the role of President, in accordance with its bylaws. He is replacing Curt Eysink, who is leaving his employment with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. These changes will take effect at the close of business today.

OLYMPIA –Washington added 10,100 new nonfarm jobs, on a preliminary, seasonally adjusted basis, from October 2015 to November 2015, according to the November Monthly Employment Report from the state’s Employment Security Department (ESD).
