WIOA annual performance narrative report

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 establishes the structure and relationship between national, state and local workforce investment activities.

“The purpose of Title I and Title III is to assist individuals in accessing employment, education and training to succeed in the labor market, and to match employers with skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. The goal is for program participants to increase employment, median earnings and credential obtainment (Title I only).”

WIOA annual report

The Workforce Board (WTECB), in conjunction with the state’s Employment Security Department and Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs), compiles an annual performance report on how the funds are used to help Washington residents succeed in the labor market.

The report includes program descriptions, implementation, policy development and more. It also provides results for adults, dislocated workers and youth in various programs. The appendices include LWDB highlights and statewide performance reports.
