OLYMPIA – County unemployment rates and employment data for October 2017 are now available online. Use the historical estimates report to view prior months’ data.

Please keep in mind:  Unemployment rates at the county level are not seasonally adjusted because the sample size is too small to accommodate that additional analysis. Therefore, they should not be compared directly to the seasonally adjusted statewide rate that we announced last week (Monthly employment report).

2017 Employment Data Release Schedule

The Employment Security Department will release monthly employment data and unemployment rates at 10 a.m. on the dates listed below. Employment Security will hold its monthly news teleconference for the statewide data at 11 a.m. on those dates. There is generally no teleconference to accompany the county statistics release.

Reporters should watch for a media advisory the day before the release with the teleconference number and passcode or contact the communications office for information.
