Yakima WorkSource center temporarily relocates

YAKIMA – WorkSource Yakima will move to 120 S. 3rd St., Ste. 100, on May 18 until construction on a new facility is completed.
The office at 306 Division St. will close for good on May 17 at 5 p.m. The temporary location will open on May 23, with limited services available until Internet and phone lines are operational.
Phone numbers for the new location will remain the same. Job seekers can reach the center at 509-574-0105. Employers can call 509-574-0163. The mailing address will be PO Box 9995, Yakima, WA 98909.
WorkSource is partnership of government agencies, community colleges and non-profit organizations that offers employment and training services to job seekers and businesses.
Individuals who have been laid off from a job, are rethinking their career or are just starting out can get help searching for work, assessing and building skills, exploring careers and connecting with employers that are hiring. Studies have shown that people who use WorkSource job-search services tend to find work faster and earn more money than those who don’t.
Services for business include candidate recruiting and screening, job fairs and hiring events, training and skills acquisition for existing workers and labor market data.
In 2015, staff at Washington’s 68 WorkSource centers, affiliates and connections sites helped roughly 139,500 workers and nearly 3,900 employers.
