Reminder: ESD transitioning from weekly to monthly initial claims press releases
OLYMPIA – This is a reminder that in our Oct. 7 weekly initial claims release, we shared a change in the frequency of press releases announcing initial unemployment insurance claims data. ESD has moved to monthly instead of weekly press releases. We will publish the first monthly initial claims release for the month of October on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
You can still view detailed claims data on the ESD website. For more information on weekly initial claims by industry sector, county, or for the year, check the weekly unemployment initial claims charts. For county data, contact one of ESD’s regional local economists.
