Unemployment rate holds steady in January
OLYMPIA – The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held firm in January at 5.1 percent, despite preliminary estimates from the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) that indicate the state lost an estimated 7,200 jobs over the month.

ID Thieves Sentenced to Prison for Scheme Targeting Unemployment Benefits and Credit Unions
OLYMPIA –A pair of identity thieves who methodically stole people’s identities and used victims’ personal information to steal more than $350,000 were sentenced Feb. 21 in U.S. District Court in Seattle, announced U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes.
