OLYMPIA –
The Washington Hospitality Association, the Employment Security Department, WorkSource, the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, the Department of Social and Health Services and other partners in the workforce system are hosting a multi-company hiring event seeking to fill more than 370 job openings in King County Friday.

As workers find jobs, the hiring coalition will provide additional resources to help remove roadblocks to employment such as lack of transportation, certifications, permits, uniform needs, food assistance, Orca Lift cards, childcare assistance vouchers and more. These resources will be available for 12 months to help eligible new hires to go to work immediately and stay engaged.

Workers who don’t find jobs can connect with WorkSource professionals to continue their job search at local centers and on www.WorkSourceWA.com.

Gov. Jay Inslee has declared May 2017 Hospitality Month in Washington. Workforce leaders, the President and CEO of the Washington Hospitality Association and the owner of BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse will host a short media availability to read the proclamation and kickoff the hiring event at 9 a.m.
