ESD looks forward to developing an innovative and hardworking team to implement our new Paid Family and Medical Leave program. The Paid Family and Medical Leave implementation effort is a 3-year project with an $82 million budget. Under state law, this program must begin collecting premiums on Jan. 1, 2019 and start paying benefits to eligible workers on Jan. 1, 2020. This fast-paced project is an excellent place for high-performing and highly motivated individuals interested in making a difference on a state and national level.

Secretary Senior: This position will provide assistance and report directly to the Human Resource Assistant Manager. As a member of the Paid Family Medical Leave administrative support team, you'll participate in establishing standardized practices in support of the Paid Family Medical Leave division. You'll be relied upon to problem solve, support the critical day to day operational needs of the division, anticipate and proactively support administrative needs. Closing date: 3/15/2018

Communications Consultant 3: This position will be a core part of a small communications team. You will have the opportunity to write and edit a variety of materials, and play a central role in the development and execution of our extensive outreach efforts. You will be relied upon to engage frequently with stakeholders and diverse communities across Washington. Learning Delivery Professional (ESPC3 2018-02170) Two Positions: These positions will develop and deliver learning materials that meet the development and performance needs of the Paid Family and Medical Leave division. This includes various learning modalities including eLearning, with measurable results. These positions will fully engage in the development and delivery of a variety of training curriculum. As we continue to grow our division, you will provide sequential training to up to 300 staff members. Roughly two-thirds of Washingtonians are expected to use Paid Family and Medical Leave in the years following implementation. As a result, we will eventually expand our training services and be a resource to employers, vendors, and stakeholders. Closing date: 3/19/2018

Senior Business Systems Analyst (ITS4 2018 - 00276) Two Positions: These positions will assist us in identifying and defining business requirements and technical specifications for this new line of business. You will conduct systems analysis for the development of the Paid Family and Medical Leave applications and systems.  This includes analyzing requested system functionality to identify risks and gaps and providing alternative solutions or recommendations. In order to ensure a successful program rollout, it will be critical that you support the development and testing of our Paid Family and Medical Leave systems that enable the payment of benefits and collection of premiums. Application Developer (ITS4 2018-00276) Two positions: These positions will work as members of a sprint team, alongside vendor and ESD staff, to support business process improvements, system and application improvements, and development and testing of mission-critical systems that enable the implementation and operation of Paid Family and Medical Leave. These roles will identify new opportunities to automate business processes and leverage available resources to meet project deadlines. In this role, you will be relied upon for supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications by following best practices related to agile system development and system design and technology with enterprise Employment Security Department standards and maintain system documentation that supports continuous improvement and support success. Budget Manager (WMS2): This position will play a key role in leading and supporting the continued development, management, coordination and maintenance of ESD's Paid Family Medical Leave program budget ensuring funds are used in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
