Agency rule-making

The Employment Security Department invites the public to participate in drafting regulations (also known as rules). You may participate by attending public meetings or hearings, or by providing us with written comments. At the public meetings, you are welcome to give oral comments or just come and listen.

The department's rule-making agenda (PDF) outlines the rules that are tentatively scheduled for action during the next six months.


Unemployment insurance - Includes topics that affect people who collect unemployment benefits and employers that pay unemployment taxes.

Other agency programs - Includes topics that affect job seekers, people in training programs and people who receive other services through Employment Security.
