About YesVets
YesVets is an initiative between ESD, WDVA, SHRM, the state Department of Commerce, The state Military Transition Council and chambers of commerce across the state.
“YesVets plays a critical role to recognize employers who hire veterans,” Feek said. “We’re grateful for the partnership we have with these groups that help those who served find meaningful careers.”
Since its inception, YesVets has helped more than 2,500 employers hire more than 9,000 veterans.
“Employment plays a vital role in a successful transition from military service and strengthens the entire military family,” Puente Jr. said. “Through YesVets, WDVA has also been able to help employers better understand the earned benefits and wide range of federal and state programs available to support Veterans.”
“SHRM proudly congratulates YesVets on celebrating 10 years of impact and service,” Schaefer said. “Over the past decade, YesVets has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to connecting veterans with meaningful employment opportunities and strengthening our workforce. Their work exemplifies the power of partnership between mission-driven employers, HR professionals, and individuals to create inclusive workplaces where veterans thrive.”
